Dr.LeestartedatNorthwesternUniversityasawritingmajor.HegraduatedwithadegreeinCognitivePsychology–HighHonorsPhiBetaKappa.
HethengraduatedfrommedicalschoolatUC-IrvineCollegeofMedicineandwasamemberoftheAlphaOmegaAlphaMedicalHonorsSociety(M#64556).

Dr.Leeisadedicatedfathertofourchildren–asix-yearolddaughterandthreeyoungerbrothers.
Dr.Leeandhisfamilyspend15weeksperyearlivingonatropicalisland.WheninCalifornia,heworkssevendaysaweek.WhenheandhisfamilyarelivinginAsia,hechecksintwohoursperdayviatelemedicinecoordinatingupcomingcycles.IVFcyclesruncontinuouslyallyearroundexceptforthosethreepredeterminedfive-weekblocks.
